The best would be have to a song with reverb you're trying to make, work on your reverb and OFTEN compare to the one you are trying achieve. That's the biggest mistake someone can make using reverbs. The reason is, you will loose TOTALLY all objectivity. Never work with reverb longer than 30 minutes. If you want learn reverbs and work with them, one crucial advice I was given here from one very kind soul. Than we all coming to chambers and plates If you want to make a huge reverb, use plate or chamber with 3-7 seconds.ĭon't use a hall! Very hard to handle and most are trying hall for big reverb. Halls and others are not easy to handle and you will not get results you will like. Some people do prefer chambers, some like plates. Judge by your ears.Īfter Reverb put.a compressor and play with that. Well known trick.įor some instruments you can cut 5k or even 7k. The valuable frequencies are for low end HPF - cut all bottom up to 550-600 Hz.įor top frequencies for LPF, in vocals usually cut to 2400 Hz. I always use EQ before Reverb and most people do the same way. Read a lot, try everything and don't expect miracles in first 6 months. I'm not good with compressors, other said - I still don't understand reverbs and other said - I prefer delays. And I can assure you, if you will have all Valhalla reversbs, you will change your mind about them. Get VVV and use initially plates, factory patches. My advice would be - don't try to understand.

I’m just an amateur, not pro and still I don't know all about it but I know enough to use all Valhalla's and many others.

Here I got the final answer which set me up, how to use reverb. Some tips were great, some were rubbish or they didn’t work for me. I was studying reverbs for 4 years without any help, searching for an answer on many YT videos and here. And still you will find very conflicting opinions about this subject. You can't judge them really and to know well this subject, it will take you 1-2 years, before you will be a confident which reverb, where, how its. I have read all posts and I came to conclusion - LoveEnigma - you don't know what you are dealing with, meaning reverbs.

I will give you advice, not many will like! But it is true. The music is currently instrumental, but I want to create vocals songs in future, too. My genres: Electronic (not EDM), Downtempo, Trip-Hop, Chillout, Cinematic. So I just want a quick opinion on which one of the three should I go for. The problem is I can buy only 1 of them right now. After spending a couple of hours with these three plug-ins, I liked them in the order: Vintage Verb, Plate and Room.

Since I am mainly looking for a good reverb plugin, I wanted to concentrate more on the reverb plugins. As expected, I was pretty impressed by all of them. A couple of days ago, I downloaded the demo of all the plugins.

I have been contemplating a lot about Valhalla DSP plug-ins recently and have read a lot of good things about it on internet, especially gearslutz. Sorry for the post being about something that has been already discussed a lot before, but I just want a quick opinion. I am a newbie on this forum and this is my first post.
