CICS/VS option for a single CPU is $15,000 for IMS/VS, $25,000. Aion’s future products will comply with IBM’s Systems Applications Architecture and support OS/2 shortly after its delivery. For ADS/VM and ADS/MVS, it also adds keyed record access and VSAM language extensions and for ADS/MVS, it also includes DB2 command support for CICS/VS and IMS/VS direct interface options will include language support for DL/I and SQL SQL and DB2 in IMS/VS and CICS/VS for ADS/MVS and SQL/DS for ADS/VM. The new ADS release will include sequential record access and language extensions, expanded data definitions for record processing, and language extensions for procedural control and for callable and re-executable statements and objects.

New features for transaction processing application development include the ability to develop, test and deliver ADS-based conventional or expert system applications under CICS/VS or IMS/VS access to DL/I databases and VSAM files and the ability to execute ADS-developed applications in separate address spaces or on different processors using VTAM Logical Unit 6.1 and Logical Unit 6.2.

Aion Corp, the company formed three years ago in Palo Alto, California when almost IBM’s entire staff on mainframe artificial intelligence jumped ship, has extended its IBM mainframe Application Development System, ADS, to IBM’s CICS/VS and IMS/VS transaction processing environments, and added a new release of the inference processing system with improved record management and database integration features for all the supported environments.
